Pounders Hawaiian Grill in Crestview

By far one of the best local places to eat. A meal runs about $12 a person and is worth every penny. A limited selection, but focused on quality. The rice is amazing and the food is always on point, never have to wait more than 10 minutes for your food even when they are busy, and the food is always fresh.

Fast service and fantastic food! The teriyaki steak is tender and delicious! For $8.50 I got the steak and Kailua pig with 2 scoops of rice. Needless to say I will return.

Fantastic place to chow down. Though I do have one grief, it is very minor, the lines are long and so is the wait, that is to be expected. The big plus side is that you can order online, the selection is simple and not too confusing. Once ordered, you then go to the restaurant, walk-in, say your name and you're already out the door. Oh yeah, the food is delicious too, great selection of meat and sauces.

I tried both locations the one in Crestview and the one in Niceville both of them are really good.

What is not to love? Grilled meats and delicious sides! Pounders has really figured out something here, the menu is simple, the food is delicious and the service is quick! Don’t be alarmed if you show up and there is a line out the door, they move very quickly. I always get the teriyaki steak and garlic chicken combo and it’s so good! Then kalua pig and teriyaki chicken is good too. You really can’t go wrong! They serve everything in to go containers so if there are no tables you can just take it with you and make your coworkers jealous! This place is amazing, I highly recommend!

My family loves this place!! It's always busy, but there's a reason why. It's amazing!!! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, tho my fav is the steak or chicken. Gotta try musubi if you haven't yet!!

Fast and fresh. I had the Teriyaki Steak and Garlic chicken both were amazing. As well as the rice and macaroni salad. Great food portions also.

Wow! The food here is amazing. I did not expect rice to taste that good. The teriyaki chicken is so tender, and I loved the pork. I even enjoyed the macaroni salad which is a side item I never like anywhere. I highly recommend anyone to try this out. Eat to your hearts content. None of it tastes overly greasy and it smelled so good. Can’t wait for more room in my stomach!

Delicious food, 4 meat options: terriaky chicken, pulled pork, garlic chicken, and pounders steak, 3 side options: leafy greens, Hawaiian macaroni salad, and sweet rice. Simple menu done to perfection.

I didn’t know this place existed till recently and now every time I’m in Crestview, I make a stop. The steak and garlic chicken are so good. Love the sauce they pour over the rice and the macaroni salad is great.

We went at lunchtime and still had quick service. The Teriyaki steak was lean and delicious. The pulled pork likewise. My wife and I shared a Regular Plate (2 meats, two scoops of rice, and a side), and it was plenty for a lunch. They have a sauce they put on the rice that is very good. We paid only $10.75 for the meal and two bottled waters. Definitely recommend!

Great place just found it awesome macaroni salad as well as rice. Their meat is really good the chicken and the stake not too keen on the garlic chicken but great service fast service and easy to order online walk in and pick it up

I was very disappointed with Pounders. The pig would have been amazing if it were not way over sweet and salty. I ordered leafy greens and cabbage with my meal. They were extremely small portions. I might have gotten a tablespoon of cabbage (not exaggerating) and a very small cup of leafy greens. I dont usually complain, but this is one place that I will not visit again.

Delicious, authentic food. Wonderful choices, but personal favorite would have to be Kalua pig. Greens are delicious, and the rice is amazing fresh out of the kitchen. Exquisite leftovers the next day at home, as well.

The teriyaki chicken & teriyaki steak taste amazing & have a slight sweetness to it. The steak was cooked perfectly & so tender. The rice, meat & macaroni salad have so much flavor! It was packed but we still received our food within 10 minutes. Highly recommend this place!

Fresh ingredients. Perfect seasoning. I tried 3 of the 4 available proteins. Ranked by favorite in order. 1) Teriyaki steak, 2) teriyaki chicken, 3) garlic chicken. The rice paired with all 3 meats was the perfect compliment.

Excellent food fast. Line can be a little long at times, but only because everyone loves the place. Once you order food is ready very quickly. Not a huge menu but the taste and speed make up for it.

This place never disappoints!! Terrific food at terrific prices! With the covid restrictions, they adapted to doing curbside, and make it seem like they have been doing it that way forever. Perfect! I can't say enough great things about this place!

However, Pounders teriyaki steak is fantastic! And then the Kalua pig 🤤 is outrageously phenomenal. Then there’s the garlic chicken, sticky rice, spring greens, the shredded cabbage, and the can juices they carry are all so amazing. Oh and then!!! The customer service is out of this world! The whole staff is great and the owner’s are the best restaurant/business owners around! I whole heartily and stomachily 😉 recommend this restaurant!

We're from Ohio and visited family in Florida. Ever since we ate here, I havent been able to get it out of my head. The food was amazing! 🤤 Sweet and juicy! Never really liked rice or potato salad until I tried it from here! I really wish y'all had an establishment in North Western Ohio, or North Eastern Indiana! 😉

Nice staff and simple healthy food. Keto diet possible with kalua pig or garlic chicken. Choose cabbage and greens for sides. Ask to sub in cabbage for rice. If you aren't on a no carb diet, go for the teriyaki dishes and the other sides. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Very fast too.

Hated it is a strong word but with all the commercials out stating how restaurants need our take out business. I have been stopping after work 2-3 times a week for dinner for the family. I decided to get Pounders even though it is out of my way on my drive home. I drove across town to get there. I pulled up in line to wait for a few cars ahead of me. Then I was sent away because I didn't put in an online order. I know it is illegal to text and drive but I guess it is ok to get on my phone to order online at Pounders and drive. I have an hour drive home. I am not stopping to make an order. I get that Covid is making things difficult but there are other businesses that are happy to take my money. Don't make me wait 20 minutes to tell me I have to get out of line to order online. The time she wasted scolding me for not ordering online first, she could have taken my order.

Best dang pulled pork I've ever eaten !! The food here is fantastic and the service is great. I usually get the chicken and steak but last time I got the pulled pork and it was so good I about fell out of seat.

Only real Hawaiian food I’ve had on the mainland since Oregon. Definitely comparable to local food back home. Cafeteria style ordering. Extremely fast service. They served 65 orders while we were eating. Great place for kids! Easily accessible. In a shopping strip with plenty of parking places. Now the only place we eat out at. Ono!!!

Really good. The meat was wonderful. Tried all of them. Pasta salad was okay. Cabbage side was just shredded raw cabbage. Was hoping it was cooked. Will go back.

Pounders is our go-to whenever we don't want to cook. It is SO tasty. Their steak is our absolute favorite, although the garlic chicken is a close second. And as someone who usually doesn't like macaroni salad, I LOVE theirs. Their employees are always to kind and courteous and service is always speedy. Absolutely love this place.
